I reached out to support and they sorted my issue quickly. No hassle or back and forth, which was nice because I was expecting it to be more of a thing, but... yeah, it was just handled.

I’ve bought a few things here, and the updates showed up in my library without any trouble. it was a small win for me not having to hunt anything down. It could be a little clearer in spots, but overall it’s been a good experience.

One of the bigger files did slow down quite a bit, which made me assume it was just a size/server thing, and I had to restart it once. After that it finished normally. Not totally perfect, but good enough that I’d use the site again.

The lessons don’t feel rushed, and they explain the basics in a way that doesn’t make you feel silly for not knowing things already... which I really appreciated. I bought the tutorial because I was trying to work on a project over the weekend, and I figured it would save me some time since I already had my coffee, my laptop set up, and a few hours blocked off. The tutorial itself seemed fine, but a few of the files wouldn’t open properly in the version of the software I’m using. Maybe the compatibility details were listed somewhere and I just missed them, but I feel like that info could be made a lot clearer before buying. I did contact support, and they were okay, but they couldn’t really help much with my specific setup. It was just kind of frustrating to pay for something and then end up spending extra time hunting for workarounds on my own

The previews on flippednormals are really clear, maybe a little too clear if you ask me. Like, someone definitely wanted to make sure I had zero excuses before buying. You can actually see enough detail to judge what you’re getting, and everything looks well made without having to dig around forever. Browsing was easy too, which feels rare enough that I’m half convinced there’s some secret UX council behind it. Overall, happy with it

The class felt basic, and the instructors did not always seem very confident in what they were teaching. It was not terrible, but I kept feeling like they were still figuring things out themselves...

i mean, the site looks fine overall, but trying to find stuff was kind of a pain. I kept clicking around just to get to categories, and the filters weren’t super clear. It might be okay if you already know exactly what you’re looking for, but just browsing felt frustrating.
